Kyocera Rise is coming to Virgin Mobile USA on 8/31 for only $99.99. The phone features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 MP camera, single-core 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 512MB RAM, 1500 mAh battery, 2GB of internal memory Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
It sounds like a fairly decent upgrade for anyone using any VM phones besides the iPhone 4/4S, HTC Evo V, Motorola Triump or the HTC One V. Also keep in mind that Virgin Mobile still offers Unlimited Data although throttled. Are you planning on getting the Kyocera Rise when it arrives late August?

Verizon Wireless is dropping the Unlimited Data Grandfathered plans. If you are currently on the unlimited data plan with Verizon and purchase a new subsidized phone you will lose your unlimited data. However, if you plan on buying a new phone and pay full price for it you will get to keep your unlimited data.

If you have an AT&T/Tmobile phone or an Unlocked GSM phone you can bring your smartphone/cell phone to Straight Talk. If you have an AT&T phone such as an iPhone you can purchase an Straight Talk (AT&T) sim. You can even choose a micro sim card for your iPhone (so need for sim cutters)!

This phone features: Android 2.3, 4″ Touch Screen, 5MP Camera and 1GHZ Processor. I believe is running off the CDMA-S network which is Sprint. It is available for estimated retail value of $329.99.

What to fix those bugs caused by getting Gingerbread? All you have to do is go to Settings>About phone>System Update to grab the 11MB update.
