Straight Talk has yet to confirm this however there is proof HERE that the Galaxy S3 is headed to Straight Talk! Estimated price will be right around $439! I recently purchased an MiFi device to do some portable internet work when needed and I had a problem getting it activated. I fixed this problem and I wanted to let you know what I did.
Do the following at your own risk!
I activated the Mifi 2200 on the internet on the go website. I could never get it to connect on its own to that website. I had to sign out into another wifi network to get it to work. Once it was finally registered and my first month was paid for it still wouldn’t let me connect to the internet. Of course, today (Sunday) they are closed. I let the device charge and set there for about 2 hours hoping that allowing it to charge and establish a connection with a network would allow it to work. It didn’t.
So, I went to http://admin.mifi with my Mifi connected to my computer. Next I went into WWAN Configurations and updated the PRL and Firmware. After that, I went and clicked the final option under WWAN Configuration which is “Reactive Device”. Once, I did that it started working.
It works really well and as long as you have a good signal it works pretty fast. Just make sure it says EVDO up there on the status. If it doesn’t then you may be in an area without 3G.
