Kyocera Rise is coming to Virgin Mobile USA on 8/31 for only $99.99. The phone features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3.2 MP camera, single-core 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 512MB RAM, 1500 mAh battery, 2GB of internal memory Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
It sounds like a fairly decent upgrade for anyone using any VM phones besides the iPhone 4/4S, HTC Evo V, Motorola Triump or the HTC One V. Also keep in mind that Virgin Mobile still offers Unlimited Data although throttled. Are you planning on getting the Kyocera Rise when it arrives late August?

Virgin Mobile was going to be data throttling similar to the way Tmobile does at the start of this month. However, with the introduction of this months new Android phones; HTC Wildfire S and Lg Optimus Slider, the company decided to push it to early next year. What is data throttling you ask? It means, they will still offer Unlimited Data but if you reach 2GB of 3G data they will slow you down to 1X (EDGE) for the rest of your month. How do you feel about this? How much data do you use? Is 2GB enough data for you or do you use much less? Shout out in the comments below!

Late night post for everyone here but Virgin Mobile has announced two new Android phones for this Holiday season. The LG Optimus Slider and the HTC Wildfire S. The Optimus will be a running Android 2.3 and have a 3.2-inch HVGA display, 3.2MP camera and 1500mah battery. It will be available online on Oct. 16th for $200 and in Sprint stores on Oct. 30th. The HTC Wildfire will be in silver at Best Buy and white at Radio Shack starting October 23rd. It will also be $200. It will have a 3.2inch HVGA display, 5MP camera with flash, Android 2.3, 600 MHz processor, and HTC Sense.
It is great that Virgin Mobile is adding more Android phones to their lineup. I still think their best Android phone right now is the Motorola Triumph (1Ghz processor) because those two new ones announced seem to be on the low end (600MHz processor).
